10 Natural Tips to Achieve Sweat-Proof, Long-Lasting Makeup This Summer

Introduction: In the makeup tutorial titled “Natural Glow: The Ultimate Summer Look,” expert makeup artist, Rachel, delves into creating a stunning sun-kissed look — perfect for the approaching warmer months. In the video, Rachel demonstrates this trendy look focusing on achieving a radiant glow while preserving the skin’s natural appearance. This extensive video tutorial covers everything from the prepping of the skin to the final touches that enhance the overall look.

Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Rachel begins by preparing the skin with a moisturizing primer to ensure a smooth makeup application.
2. Next, she applies a dewy foundation by dotting it around the face and blending with a makeup sponge for a natural finish.
3. She then sculpts the face subtly with contour cream, focusing on the cheeks, temples, and jawline.
4. Following the contour, a liquid highlighter is lightly dabbed on the high points of the face to create a sun-kissed look.
5. Rachel then demonstrates how to fill and shape the brows with a brow pencil, emphasizing natural-looking strokes.
6. For the eyes, she opts for a soft, shimmery bronze eyeshadow, blending it across the lids.
7. Finishing off the eyes, she applies a few coats of mascara for an open-eye effect.
8. Lastly, she applies a peachy-pink blush and concludes with a swipe of coral-tinted gloss for a summer-ready finish.

Key Tips and Advice:
Rachel emphasizes the significance of moisturizing the skin prior to makeup application, as it not only hydrates but also provides a smooth canvas for the makeup. She also, consistently, advocates for blending –whether it’s foundation, contour or eyeshadow– to avoid harsh lines ensuring a more natural, seamless look. Additionally, she advises that opting for cream-based products over powder can help to achieve a dewy, radiant finish.

Conclusion:
Rachel’s video tutorial “Natural Glow: The Ultimate Summer Look” beautifully encapsulates the beauty of enhancing one’s features rather than overwhelming them with heavy makeup. Rachel encourages viewers to embrace their natural beauty, use makeup as a tool for accentuation, and not be afraid of experimenting with glow-imbued products for a sun-kissed effect.

I’m literally about to try this out right now. I’m starting out with modeling and casting studios and my nervousness always have my makeup melting off by the time I’m in front of the directors and agents. Do you also have any tips for helping my hair not get super frizzy when it’s hot and sweaty?

Thanks for the video, I need a powder or product to help remove the skin glare from people’s face while they’re dancing. It’s natural that you sweat when you dance so I’m looking on a way to illuminate that in the first place without bringing in complicated equipment. As each of these dances finish after a song so as long as the solution is for a song I would be a happy cameraman 😅

Ps. What was the name of the last power you mentioned at 5:46?
