Introduction: In today’s virtual beauty session, Megan, a seasoned makeup artist, offers her expert advice on creating the perfect smokey eye. This video breaks down each step, providing insider tips and unique techniques for creating an intensely pigmented, smoky effect that is flawlessly blended. The tutorial is perfect for both makeup beginners looking to shake up their routine and seasoned beauty enthusiasts seeking to refine their technique.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Megan begins by priming her eyelids, setting the stage for seamless eyeshadow application. She recommends a creamy, dense primer to hold the eyeshadow and prevent creasing.
2. Using a small angled brush, she outlines her upper lash line with a black eyeshadow, shaping it into a slightly winged line. This provides a base for the eyeliner and intensifies the smokey effect.
3. She then softens this line with a fluffy eyeshadow brush, gently blending upwards. Megan mentions the importance of movements – both a windshield wiper and circular motions to achieve a smooth transition.
4. Megan deepens the effect with a rich, black gel eyeliner, going over the first line and bringing it slightly outwards for a cat-eye effect.
5. She then uses a flat brush to carefully pat a shimmery, dark grey eyeshadow onto her eyelid, blending it upwards without going above the crease.
6. Using a medium-toned matte gray eyeshadow, Megan explains that blending this colour into and above the crease helps to create a gradient effect.
Key Tips and Advice: A key pro tip Megan shares is the importance of blending. It can easily take a smokey eye from harsh and patchy to diffused and professional. She also advises to start with smaller amounts of eyeshadow and gradually build up to avoid fallout and over-application. The beauty guru suggests using various textures of eyeshadows to enhance the smokey effect—playing with mattes and shimmers.
Conclusion: Megan concludes the video with encouraging words to her viewers, stressing that makeup is an art and can take time to master. As she explains, the key to a stunning smokey eye is the process—taking it one step at a time and proper blending.

i got lots of pores, and my go-to to hide that without foundation is to put trans powder over it. They disappear instantly
Also i feel like blush makes a big difference and balances out makeup looks and acts as a coverage in itself even if its red or pink toned and highlights your cheek area and gives definition without contouring
And without concealer
This is what i was looking for…instead of covering my face in layers.. thankyou soo much sweety ❤
I just realized.. it's very expensive to maintain your beauty. I only apply moisturizer and sunscreen on my face
What's your foundation shade? My skin is the same as yours

I am someone with a lot of skin texture on my forehead and cheeks ….but also someone who loves makeup…….some videos about foundations and other base products on the internet are so satisfying to watch….it is hard to not want to buy em ! ……after gaslighting myself a lot into believing i will look better with these specific foundation………i have finally realised i look the best when i just do my eyes brows lips and blush !!!! I have stopped using any base products……and highlight of any kind on textured skin is a big no ! …..i do have discoloration but i really like the type of makeup i do these days …..and i just LLLLOOOVVEEEE YOU HALEY 🩷

Wow!! So pretty!
thank you soooooooooooo much! I'm done with foundation after wasting too much money on that, for wrong shades wrong textures etc. why do people in daily life even need that product? they only look good when your skin is great, but if my skin is great why do I need foundation in the first beginning. it all feels like marketing to me.
I like this type of videos for make up. Wearing foundation everyday is not really realistic in my busy schedule
I really like this kind of look it look so natural and beautiful 💘🥺

I mean, large pores plus sensitive skin plus oily skin plus acnes plus fungal acnes would make it harder to me

조명+보정으로 피부 좋은 척 하며 그냥 광고 겸 칭송 받으려고 메이크업 루틴 올리는 영상 보다가, 님 영상 보니 안구가 정화되는 기분이네요… 구독하고 갑니다
Stumbled across your channel looking for lash tips and now this video. I was going to do full foundation tomorrow but I like the tip of just covering the darker spots and sort of sprucing everything else up. Very simple and useful tips, thanks! 💝 Subbed!
We can't say it"without " foundation "look, as you applying so many things ..just use sunscreen tap a lipstick use it as a blusher little bit liner, fill your brows ,apply lip gloss and you will look fine ,that's the makeup without foundation
When I shop for foundation I will bring an orange with me to test the foundation
love the way you do make up. less is better.
Yes please!!!
All the influencers have the makeup tutorials thinking every person covers their full face whenever they’re doing makeup!!
I’ve never used foundation my whole life. It makes your face looks weird, fake and the lack of color variation is a big given and a no-no.
Thank you for this!
You are wonderful 💥
Aw I love this thank you
I love you
whats the point when you still need so many steps by just skipping foundation? not useful
Stunning
You are so beautiful you need no makeup at all.
i don't like using foundation bcs it is super hard to find the proper color for my skin 😅
can you recommend some must have but cheap brushes?
