From mastering the art of the ever-so popular smokey eye look to achieving the perfect base, this article will not only guide you through this stunning transformation, but it will also arm you with unique tips and advice to enhance your own makeup prowess.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Let’s decode the magic, one step at a time:
1. Prepping the Skin – The first step is ensuring your skin is clean, hydrated, and primed. The video emphasized the importance of applying a quality moisturizer and primer for a smooth makeup application.
2. Creating the Base – Using your preferred foundation, blend it evenly over your face. A pro tip from the video is to use a beauty blender for achieving an even and natural finish.
3. Defining the Eyes – Start with a nude eyeshadow as a base. Follow with deeper shades from the crease to the outer corner of the eye. Blend well to create the smokey effect
4. Voicing the Lashes – Now apply mascara to your lashes. You can add false lashes for that dramatic effect.
5. Perfecting the Brows – With a brow pencil or brow gel, fill in your eyebrows, giving them definition and a natural look.
6. Blush, Bronze, and Glow – Begin by adding a touch of color to your cheeks with blush. Then, bronze to sculpt your face, and don’t forget to add some highlighter for a radiant glow.
Key Tips:
One of the main takeaways was the importance of blending β from your foundation to your eyeshadow, the more you blend, the more natural your makeup will look. Plus, never underestimate the power of good lighting when applying makeup.
Conclusion:
This video tutorial was a masterclass in achieving an elegant smokey eye makeup look while enhancing the natural beauty of the face. It also emphasized that, while skill matters in makeup application, confidence in your own skin is the true beauty enhancer.

Who else loves a classic black smokey eye?? π Show me some heart emoji's in the comments if you do! I personally absolutely love it. Also p.s. I'm going to hit 2 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS TODAY!!!!! ooooooooo my.. I am beyond happy and in disbelieve.. Never would I have thought I would hit this milestone.. π
Just osmmm
I love Benefit's Bad Gal Bang line. The liners are incredible, but Roller Lash still can't compare to Maybelline Collosal Big Shot (gold tube). There's just something about Maybelline mascaras that makes them really good, and they just get better over the years. It wears better than Clinique & it's not even $10.
Not sure how many men leave a comment here, but anyway … I've been DJing a couple times again (after many years of being out of business), and I thought the smokey eye thing would look great for my shows (because it's a mix of 80s meets current electronic music)… Doing it myself… Always a nightmare hehehe, I end up looking like a raccoon! But, this is by far the easiest tutorial I've seen. Not sure if I can get those very exact products in my area, but I'll do my best to be as accurate as possible! Thanks a lot!!

Did anyone else notice that the brush she showed in the dipping shot was different than the brush she actually used on the lower lash line? It was much smaller and precise and not a fluffy brush. Other than that, excellent tutorial and the finish product is chef's kiss muah
