Perfect Contouring and Highlighting Tutorial for Long and Oval Faces: Achieving a Natural Look

Introduction:
Unleashing the secrets behind gorgeous, glowing makeup, YouTube beauty vlogger shares an in-depth tutorial on attaining a natural, radiant look. The video not only navigates the viewers through each step, but breaks down the purpose and importance of each product and technique used. In this article, we’ll delve into the specifics of this informative makeup tutorial and bring out the key beauty insights from the video.

Step-by-Step Guide:
1. The routine kicks off with skincare. Our vlogger emphasizes the importance of a clean canvas and uses a gentle cleanser to keep her skin supple.
2. She dives into moisturization using a hydrating serum which she applies in upward strokes, explaining that this technique promotes blood flow.
3. The next step involves color-correcting concealer. She shows how to neutralize under-eye dark circles by using color theory, and applies a peach shade before foundation.
4. She switches to a lightweight foundation, using a beauty blender to encourage a natural and airbrushed finish.
5. The eyes are accentuated with a subtle, neutral eyeshadow and she shares a tip to accentuate the eye shape by defining the crease area.
6. She moves onto the eyebrows, demonstrating how a softly filled brow shapes the face without being too overpowering.
7. The finale of the look involves a pop of blush on the cheeks, a swipe of highlighter for that radiant glow, and a dab of tinted lip balm to add color and moisture to the lips.

Key Tips and Advice:
The vlogger keenly presses upon the role of proper skincare and harmonious color selection in achieving a polished look. She shares the trick of applying serum in upward strokes for improving circulation and employing color theory in makeup to achieve the most flattering effects. She also emphasizes the importance of blending in makeup for a seamless finish.

Conclusion:
The overarching message from the video is the importance of a well-balanced makeup routine that enhances one’s natural features instead of obscuring them. The vlogger leaves us with final words of encouragement – makeup is a form of self-expression, it’s all about finding what suits you best and having fun while you’re at it.

Smooth and Engaging Flow:
Adding both warmth and wisdom to the mix, our vlogger bridges the gap between amateur enthusiasm and professional technique, creating a tutorial that’s as enjoyable as it is useful.

Product and Tool Listing:
1. Cleanser – To thoroughly cleanse the skin before makeup application.
2. Hydrating serum – To keep skin moisturized and plump.
3. Color-correcting concealer – To neutralize dark circles before foundation.
4. Lightweight foundation – To even out the skin without masking it.
5. Neutral eyeshadow – To subtly define and enhance the eyes.
6. Eyebrow pencil – To softly fill the brows for facial symmetry and balance.
7. Blush and highlighter – To add color and glow to the skin.
8. Tinted lip balm – To add a hint of color while hydrating the lips.

With this article, we hope you’re raring to recreate this makeup look and perhaps pick up some new techniques along the way. Enjoy your makeup journey, remember it’s all about confidence and feeling good in your own skin!

Hi, at one point you said it would look awkward if your hair wasn't down, what would you suggest doing differently if I wore my hair up?? I have a long face as well and always struggle with trying to not make it look even longer when contouring.

I dont really know what kind of face shape I have. I think its oval or heart shape, but I always have troubles when doing countouring, I dont know if it is my perspective, but seems I have done nothing on my face. I feel more comfortable using powders to contour, but I am not shure if the problem its the powder, the shade Im using or if its just me… 😒
